Baoya Mining Project
The Baoya Mining Project is a large-scale mineral sands operation encompassing 120 square kilometers under a dedicated mining license. With proven reserves estimated at 4 million tons of heavy mineral sands, the project is poised to become a cornerstone of YFD’s mining operations in Sierra Leone.
Project Milestones and Production Goals
Fengshun Unit 2:
Scheduled to commence production in September 2024, this unit is expected to achieve a normal production output of 3,500 tons per year, contributing significantly to the project’s operational capacity.Fengshun Unit 3:
Currently under construction, Unit 3 is projected to begin operations by the end of December 2024, further enhancing the project’s output.Fengshun Unit 5:
Plans are underway to develop Unit 5, with construction expected to be completed by the end of 2025, ensuring the long-term scalability and sustainability of the Baoya Mining Project.
